A shy shelter dog in Los Angeles may have had a hard time adjusting to shelter life, but her sweet personality is starting to shine in the most adorable way.
Meet Siete, a lovable dog at Los Angeles County’s Carson Animal Shelter who has captured the hearts of staff, volunteers, and viewers online.
Like many shelter dogs, Siete seemed overwhelmed when she first arrived. Shelter life can be loud, stressful, and confusing, especially for dogs who have suddenly lost the home and people they once knew.
Just a few weeks ago, Siete was so scared that she did not even want to get into a truck to attend an adoption event.
But now, her friends at the shelter are seeing a whole new side of her.
The once-shy pup gets excited when she sees people she trusts, and she has become known for her adorable fashion moments. Dresses, accessories, and a little extra attention seem to bring out her inner diva.
Shy shelter dog? Not anymore.
Siete looks like a natural in every outfit, but her friends say the real beauty is her heart. Once she feels safe and learns to trust someone, she gives them all her love.

“Poor baby, she is stressed, but you can see how sweet she is,” one commenter wrote.
It is an important reminder that a scared dog is not the same thing as an aggressive dog. Many shelter dogs simply need patience, space, and time to understand that they are safe.
Other dog owners know exactly how much a nervous shelter pup can change once they are in the right home.
“Our anxious girl was so overwhelmed with the shelter. She is a different dog at home. Please give them a chance,” one person shared.
Siete’s friends at Carson Animal Shelter are eager to see her finally land in a loving home. But there is one important catch: she is not hoping to leave alone.
Siete has a bonded brother named Beamer, and the two are looking for a forever family together.
The siblings were surrendered as a pair, and shelter staff hope they can stay that way.
Beamer is a 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who weighs about 56 pounds. Like Siete, he is loving and sweet, and he would benefit from a calm, patient home where he and his sister can settle in at their own pace.
The pair may need a little time to adjust after everything they have been through, but with love, patience, and stability, they have the potential to become joyful and affectionate companions.
Anyone in Southern California who is interested in meeting Beamer and Siete can visit the Carson Animal Shelter. Walk-ins are welcome during open hours.
These sweet siblings have already been through a lot. Now all they need is someone willing to give them both the safe, loving home they deserve.
