A 1,000-pound bull and a cow-fearing Cattle Dog are proving that friendship does not always make sense — and that is exactly what makes it so sweet.

Remi may be a Cattle Dog, but according to her family, she is absolutely terrified of cows. Somehow, though, she has no problem spending her days with her very best friend: a 14-month-old Brangus bull named Reggie.

The funny friendship was captured in an adorable video that has animal lovers completely smitten.

“Fancy me this… our cow dog, Remi, is terrified of cows, but her bestie is a 14-month-old, 1,000 lb Brangus Bull, named Reggie,” the caption reads.

The clip starts with Reggie standing in a field, looking every bit as big and powerful as a young bull should. But the second he spots Remi, his whole personality changes.

Instead of acting tough, the massive bull happily trots over to greet the tiny dog like an oversized puppy. After a quick hello, the two start playing together in the grass, bouncing and running around as if there is not a nearly 1,000-pound difference between them.

Before long, Reggie and Remi are racing off together, looking like the most unlikely best friends on the farm.

Viewers could not get enough of the sweet pair.

“I would like to join the Reggie and Remi fan club, please,” one commenter joked.

Another summed up their friendship perfectly: “Grass puppy loves the house puppy.”

Someone else pointed out what everyone watching was probably thinking: “You know he thinks he’s not any bigger than the dog.”

Their bond makes even more sense once you know their backstory.

When one viewer asked how the two became so close, their owner explained that Reggie was born premature and could not walk or stand well enough to nurse. Because of that, she brought him home and bottle-fed him.

At the time, Remi was still a puppy, too.

The two grew up together, and the bond stuck.

Now, Reggie may be a huge young bull and Remi may technically be a cow dog who is scared of cows, but none of that seems to matter to them.

To Reggie, Remi is just his best friend.

And to Remi, he is not a scary cow at all. He is family.
