A homestead puppy named Butter is already proving she has a big personality — and maybe a future as a tiny acrobat.

Elizabeth Marion, known online as @thenomadbunch, has plenty to celebrate on her homestead right now, including a litter of nine adorable Great Pyrenees mix puppies. Their mom is a Livestock Guardian Dog, making them half Great Pyrenees, while their dad is part Australian Cattle Dog and part Australian Shepherd.

But one puppy in particular is stealing the spotlight.

Butter has been making her family laugh every time she nurses because she refuses to do things the normal way. While her siblings crowd around their mom for milk, Butter has figured out her own special method for getting a spot — even if it means flipping herself completely upside down.

Nobody is telling this determined little pup to wait her turn.

In the video, Butter squeezes into the “milk bar” in the funniest possible position, happily nursing while lying upside down like it is the most natural thing in the world. She may only be a couple of months old, but she already seems to know how to get exactly what she wants.

The big question is whether Butter is a tiny genius, extremely resourceful or just very hungry.

One viewer said her own dog did the same thing as a puppy.

“My dog did the same thing as a puppy! There were a lot of them, and he squeezed in upside down to get room! Smart babies,” the commenter wrote.

Another person joked, “Toast always lands butter side down, right?”

With a name like Butter, maybe this little pup took that saying a bit too seriously.

Whatever her strategy, it seems to be working. Butter looks healthy, chunky and full of energy as she keeps up with her siblings and gets plenty of love from her mom.

She even appears confident enough to find and play with her dad, the Australian Shepherd and Heeler mix who shows up near the end of the clip.

Butter may be small, but she already knows how to stand out in a litter of nine — even if standing out means eating upside down.
