Dog owners may think they know their pups better than anyone, but sometimes dogs have their own little world that humans are just lucky enough to witness.
That was definitely the case for two Golden Retrievers who were caught on camera appearing to have a very serious conversation with each other. Their mom shared the adorable clip online, and viewers quickly became obsessed with trying to figure out what the two dogs were discussing.
The video shows the two Goldens lounging on separate dog beds, soaking up what looks like a peaceful summer day. They appear completely relaxed at first, but then the “conversation” begins.
The dogs look right at each other and start barking back and forth, as if one of them has some urgent news to share.
And honestly, who knows what was on the agenda? Breakfast? Walk time? Dinner plans? A suspicious squirrel? A neighborhood mailman who needed to be watched?
At one point, one of the dogs seems to catch on to something important. Suddenly, the tone shifts, and both pups get up from their cozy beds and trot away together to investigate.
Whatever was said, it clearly required immediate action.
“Only dogs understand this conversation,” the text overlay joked.
The caption added, “I don’t speak Golden Retriever… but this sounds important.”

Viewers in the comments had plenty of hilarious theories about what the two best friends were saying.
“‘Come with me for a walk.’ ‘Okayyyy,’” one person guessed.
Another joked, “I think the first one realised something the other one did years ago and is now mad over it.”
A third commenter imagined a much more serious meeting was underway, writing, “Something about the stocks, Golden Retriever businessdog stuff… Extremely important.”
One viewer even said the video got a reaction from their own dog.
“Not sure what he said but my Golden also got up and walked away,” they joked.
Whatever the two pups were talking about, one thing is clear: it was important enough to leave their comfy beds behind.
