Every cat deserves to feel loved and safe in a forever home, but one sweet three-legged kitty keeps getting overlooked simply because he looks a little different.
Gimble is a lovable tripod cat currently waiting at a shelter, where staff members say potential adopters have made heartbreaking comments about him.
“He’s cute, but I’d rather adopt a normal cat,” one person reportedly said.
Another suggested that it would probably take Gimble a long time to find a family.
The shelter shared an emotional video in hopes of helping people see just how special he really is.
“Can 100% say with confidence that I cried making this video for Gimble,” the caption read. “This boy is SO special and so beyond deserving of finding his forever home.”

Gimble reportedly loves spending time with other cats, although he is not comfortable around dogs. That is hardly unusual for a shelter cat, and staff members insist his missing leg does not stop him from being affectionate, playful and full of personality.
One viewer perfectly summed up what many cat lovers were thinking.
“First off: no cat is normal. They are all little weirdos. Second off: he’s so adorable,” @endmenow wrote.
Other commenters quickly joined the conversation, sharing stories about their own three-legged pets and praising Gimble for being such a charming little survivor.
According to the video, Gimble had one of his legs amputated because of a birth defect. However, the shelter emphasized that he is every bit as loving and silly as any other cat.
Gimble may have three legs, but he has more than enough love to give. Now, he just needs someone willing to look beyond his differences and give him the home he deserves.
