A sweet senior farm dog has decided she belongs with the ducks, whether the rest of the flock agrees or not.

Lily Bear may not look anything like her tiny feathered friends, but that has not stopped her from joining them as they wander around the farm.

Her owner shared an adorable video on July 25 showing the older dog calmly following behind a group of ducklings as if she were simply another member of the flock.

Lily Bear did not exactly blend in, but her devotion to the little birds was impossible to miss.

Rather than racing around or trying to herd them, the senior pup stayed near the back of the group and appeared to take on the role of protector.

“I love how she decided she was the rear guard,” one viewer commented.

The adult ducks did not appear completely thrilled by her presence, but the ducklings seemed comfortable having their furry companion close by. A small chick also appeared to be mixed in with the group.

Another commenter could not resist making the obvious joke.

“She’s just getting all her ducks in a row!” the viewer wrote.

One of the cutest moments came when Lily Bear looked toward her owner with a completely innocent expression, as though she could not understand why anyone would suggest she was not a duck.

She may have four legs, fur and a wagging tail, but Lily Bear clearly believes she fits in perfectly with her feathered farm family.
