A dramatic Golden Retriever named Gouda has the internet laughing after he decided that five minutes of walking was more than enough exercise for one day.
In a TikTok video shared by his owner, Gouda is seen lying flat on the ground and refusing to move during what was supposed to be his daily walk.
The stubborn pup had apparently begged to go outside, but once the walk began, he quickly changed his mind.
“We’ve only been walking for five minutes,” his amused owner told him as Gouda remained sprawled across the ground without any intention of getting back up.
His mom jokingly described him as an “absolute bag of bones” because of the limp and dramatic way he collapsed.

Viewers immediately recognized what some dog owners call “the stubborn flop,” when a pup drops to the ground and refuses to continue walking.
One commenter imagined Gouda thinking, “We aren’t going the way I wanted to though, Mom.”
Others rushed to defend the Golden Retriever, suggesting the weather may have been too warm or that five full minutes was simply more activity than he had planned.
“Five whole minutes was too much,” one viewer joked.
Several dog owners said they had experienced similar situations with their own stubborn pets. Some recalled being forced to carry their dogs home after they suddenly refused to take another step.
One person even said they once had to carry a 60-pound dog after the pup gave up in the middle of a walk.
Whether Gouda was tired, hot or simply unhappy with the chosen route, he made his opinion perfectly clear.
The walk was over, and there was apparently nothing his mom could do about it.
