Two golfers became unexpected wildlife rescuers after spotting a raccoon wandering across a course with a plastic jar stuck over its head.
The animal clearly needed help, but getting close enough to remove the container was another matter entirely. The frightened raccoon was not exactly eager to cooperate with the humans trying to save it.
In a viral video posted by @srhc30064, one golfer confidently volunteers for the rescue after announcing that he has received a rabies shot.
That is when the chaos begins.
The men nervously encourage each other while trying to corner the raccoon and figure out the safest way to pull off the jar. Their nonstop commentary turns the tense rescue into an unexpectedly hilarious scene.
After several anxious moments, one of the golfers manages to grab the container and free the trapped animal.
The celebration that follows is almost as dramatic as the rescue itself.
The men cheer wildly before the golfer gives the raccoon a quick toss toward safety, sending it scrambling away from the group.
The caption jokingly referred to the animal as “Jimothy’s brother,” and viewers could not get enough of the golfers’ excitement.
The short clip quickly went viral despite being the only video on the account. It has collected nearly 4 million views and more than 14,000 comments.

Many viewers said the golfers’ adrenaline-filled reaction made the rescue even funnier.
One commenter shared a screenshot showing the golfer’s shadow with both arms raised in celebration.
“Golf Jesus coming to save all his creatures,” the viewer joked.
Another person imagined the golfer later telling his wife about the rescue, only to discover that he had received a flu shot instead of a rabies vaccine.
The comment attracted more than 100,000 likes.
Some viewers joked that the raccoon would probably feel sore the following day after being tossed to safety.
“You mean the guy in the pink shirt, right?” another person replied.
Others wondered how many beers may have contributed to the men’s confidence.
“How many Ultras led to this?” one viewer asked.
“I know they had at least six beers before saving Jimothy’s brother,” another joked.
The man who posted the video replied, “At least.”
The rescue may not have been graceful, but it worked. The raccoon escaped the jar and ran away, while the golfers were left celebrating like they had just won a championship.
