Boxers are known for being affectionate, playful and endlessly devoted to their families, but one brindle pup named Liss took that love to another level when he met the family’s newest addition.
During an Aug. 2 family reunion, Liss had little interest in anyone except his uncle and aunt’s new baby.
From the moment he spotted the infant, the sweet dog was completely captivated.
Liss spent the gathering trying to inch closer so he could sniff, cuddle and shower the baby with kisses. His determination was adorable, but his mom was understandably cautious about letting all that Boxer enthusiasm loose at once.

Still, viewers were convinced that Liss’s intentions were nothing but loving.
“It’s a Boxer,” one person commented. “That dog would die before hurting the baby. They are the most loyal and loving doofus in the dog world.”
Another viewer wrote that Boxers and pit bulls are often wonderful with children, though every dog’s individual temperament and behavior should always be considered around babies.
Liss appeared to pass that test with ease.
The baby’s parents eventually allowed him to move closer and gently sniff the tiniest member of the family.
Despite all his excitement, Liss remained careful and sweet, proving that he simply wanted to welcome the baby in the only way he knew how.
At this rate, the little one may soon have a very protective and devoted four-legged best friend.
