Golden Retrievers are famous for loving the water, but Zeppole may have taken that obsession a little too far.
The popular pup apparently loves swimming so much that he has repeatedly found a way into his neighbor’s pool — even though his own family doesn’t have one.
On August 5, Zeppole’s mom finally caught him in the act.
She watched as the determined Golden Retriever made his way over the fence and headed straight for the pool like he owned the place.
Zeppole clearly thought he had pulled off another perfect getaway. Even after his mom appeared in the yard and told him it was time to come home, he didn’t seem especially worried.
Instead, the mischievous dog simply stayed out in the middle of the pool, apparently realizing she wasn’t about to jump in after him.
His stubborn little stunt had viewers cracking up.
“If I woke up and saw a Golden Retriever swimming in my pool, I’d think I died in my sleep and went to heaven,” one commenter joked.
Luckily for Zeppole, his neighbors seem to be pretty understanding about their unexpected four-legged swimmer.

In fact, this is far from the first time he has gone viral for sneaking into their pool. Zeppole has apparently pulled off the same trick multiple times, turning his unauthorized swimming sessions into something of an online tradition.
His neighbor even shared another video showing the adventure from their side of the fence.
The footage captured Zeppole casually climbing over as if breaking into a neighbor’s yard for a swim was completely normal.
He even stopped for a quick snack during his journey before continuing toward his favorite destination.
Once Zeppole finally got into the water, he had absolutely no interest in leaving.
His mom confirmed that the happy Golden Retriever stayed put until she eventually made him come home.
Zeppole may technically be trespassing, but it’s hard to imagine a more adorable repeat offender.
