Maine Coons are famous for their huge size, fluffy coats and larger-than-life personalities — but even these gentle giants start out as tiny kittens.
A TikTok video from @greekgardenmainecoons is winning over cat lovers after showing just how dramatically Maine Coon kittens can change in only 10 weeks.
The clip follows several kittens as they grow from tiny newborns into much bigger, fluffier versions of themselves.
Among the kittens featured are Oliver and Zephyr, who begin the video as tiny babies before transforming into striking orange kittens with thick, beautiful coats.
Other kittens in the litter show off a variety of colors and patterns, including tortoiseshell and tabby.
The video doesn’t just capture their changing looks. It also gives viewers a glimpse of their personalities, including just how vocal Maine Coon kittens can be while eating, playing and spending time together.

Viewers quickly fell in love with the growing kittens.
“They have the most perfect [toe] beans,” one person commented.
Another joked, “You keep a close eye on them cats so I don’t steal them.”
Part of what makes the transformation so impressive is that Maine Coons grow differently from many other cat breeds.
While many cats reach most of their adult size within about a year, Maine Coons can continue growing and developing for several years.
According to Sweet Giants Maine Coons, the breed may continue maturing between roughly three and five years of age.
Their development involves much more than simply getting bigger. Their coats, behavior, nutritional needs and personalities can all continue changing as they mature.
During the first three months of life, Maine Coon kittens may weigh between about one and four pounds.
At that age, they still depend heavily on their mother while also beginning to learn how to play, socialize and coordinate their movements.
Between three and six months, they enter a period of rapid growth.
During that stage, some kittens can grow to around eight pounds as they experience one of the biggest growth spurts of their lives.
By around two to three years old, many Maine Coons are approaching their adult size, with some weighing as much as 22 pounds. Their famously thick coats also continue developing as they mature.
And while every cat is different, Maine Coons are widely known for developing into affectionate, confident cats with calm personalities.
Watching that transformation happen in only 10 weeks makes the TikTok video even more impressive.
The kittens may still have a long way to go before becoming full-grown Maine Coons, but judging by their fluffy coats and rapidly growing paws, they’re already well on their way to becoming gentle giants.
