Some dogs wake up ready to conquer the world. Others would rather stay in bed as long as possible.
Saint, a 5-month-old Golden Retriever puppy, definitely falls into the second category.
In a hilarious TikTok shared on his account, @mygoldensaint, Saint’s owner tries everything she can think of to convince her sleepy pup to get moving for the day.
Saint is seen sitting at the top of a staircase with a stuffed toy in his mouth while his mom starts making offers.
Want to go for a walk? No reaction.
How about a treat? Still not enough.
Breakfast? Apparently not tempting either.
Saint briefly turns his head as though he is seriously considering his options, but then makes his decision.
He turns around and heads right back toward bed, stuffed toy still in his mouth.
His owner jokingly described him as a “lazy puppy,” but viewers found the whole thing incredibly relatable.

“Can’t blame him!!!” one person commented.
Another joked, “You bring the breakfast to him, please.”
Anyone who struggles with mornings can probably understand exactly where Saint is coming from.
And while he may look like the world’s laziest Golden Retriever, there is actually a good reason puppies spend so much time sleeping.
According to the American Kennel Club, puppies can need roughly 18 to 20 hours of sleep every day.
That sleep usually does not happen all at once. Puppies often sleep for long stretches overnight and then take several naps throughout the day.
At just 5 months old, Saint is still growing quickly, learning constantly and burning plenty of energy whenever he is awake.
All of that development requires a lot of rest.
So Saint may not actually be lazy at all.
He might simply have one very clear message for his mom: mornings can wait.
