One little girl has a very convincing excuse for wanting to stay home from school: her cat simply refuses to let her leave bed.
A sweet video shared Sept. 9 by the family behind the social media account @rosaremma shows their cat, Keanu, making it very clear that he is not ready for his best friend to start her day.
As the little girl tries to get up and get ready for school, Keanu stubbornly stays close, seemingly determined to keep her right where she is.
The pair clearly share an incredibly close bond.
Keanu appears perfectly content cuddling with his girl and seems less than impressed that anyone would dare interrupt their morning together.
At one point, the cat gives the girl’s mom a seriously dirty look, as if she is personally responsible for ruining the cuddle session.

That is probably the last thing Keanu needs to hear.
The cat already seems more than ready to keep his little girl home all day if given the chance.

Cats are famous for their attitude, but Keanu somehow manages to look affectionate, annoyed and protective all at once.
For this family, having an animal-loving child means more than stopping to pet every dog or checking pockets for unexpected critters.
It means watching their daughter grow up with a built-in best friend who apparently believes school should never interfere with cuddle time.
Keanu may not have succeeded in canceling class, but he certainly made it clear where he stands.
