A massive black bear gave diners in a Colorado mountain town the surprise of a lifetime after somehow wandering into a restaurant and then struggling to find its way back out.
The wild encounter happened Sept. 23 at Full Tilt Saloon in Ouray, Colorado, where visitors Jenny and Dave Radick were staying nearby and suddenly found themselves watching a bear roam around inside the restaurant.
Video shared by the couple behind @together_on_trail shows the confused animal wandering near an arcade area, including a Pac-Man machine, as people watched from a safe distance.

At one point, the bear approaches a door and appears to push against it as if trying to escape.
The only problem?
It seemingly needed to pull.
That small detail quickly became one of the funniest parts of the video.
One viewer joked, “Just a bear, pushing on the door, instead of pulling it. We’ve all been there.”
Thankfully, the encounter ended without anyone getting hurt.
The bear was eventually able to get back outside and return to the surrounding area.
Exactly how it got into the restaurant has not been publicly explained.
Full Tilt Saloon sits on Main Street in Ouray, a small mountain town surrounded by rugged wildlife habitat. The area is very much bear country, and local tourism officials have been warning visitors to secure trash, food and other scented items because bears have been moving through town more frequently.
And this was far from the only strange bear encounter reported in Colorado this year.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife has received more than 6,000 bear reports in 2026, roughly double the number recorded during the same period last year.
Wildlife officials say drought conditions and reduced natural food sources have pushed more bears into neighborhoods, businesses and other developed areas in search of calories.
Recent incidents have included a bear wandering through an Aspen restaurant and another accidentally being dumped into a trash truck after climbing into a garbage container.
For the people inside Full Tilt, though, the scene was less scary than surreal.
There was a wild black bear.
Inside a restaurant.
Standing next to an arcade game.
And apparently having the same trouble with a push-pull door that the rest of us have experienced at least once.
