Few things are sweeter than a dog who realizes all of their favorite people and pups are waiting for them.
That’s exactly what happened when a tiny Dachshund puppy named Fin arrived at a New York City pier and spotted his group of friends.
Fin’s mom, Sydney Meader, shared the adorable moment online after the September 26 reunion, and viewers immediately fell in love with the little dog’s huge reaction.
Fin may be small, but there was nothing subtle about his excitement.
The moment he realized his friends were nearby, his entire body seemed to light up. He rushed toward the group with the kind of enthusiasm only a very happy puppy can deliver.
It was obvious that, in Fin’s world, these weren’t just casual acquaintances.
They were his people.

His joy was so genuine that some viewers admitted the video actually made them emotional.
One commenter asked why the sweet reunion was making them tear up, while another joked that Fin was so adorable they could hardly handle it.
Even Fin’s mom admitted the clip still gets to her every time she watches it.

Dachshunds are known for being affectionate, social and deeply attached to the people and animals they trust. Fin’s reaction seemed to capture all of that in just a few seconds.

Several of Fin’s dog friends were wearing little jackets, while Fin was not.
That led one fellow Dachshund owner to jokingly wonder whether Fin needed a jacket of his own so he could fully match the group.
The commenter even shared that they had once bought several jackets for their own Dachshund after imagining the dog felt left out.
Whether Fin eventually gets his own fashionable coat or not, he didn’t seem bothered.
He was far too busy enjoying the reunion.
