Two tiger cubs at the Memphis Zoo recently reached a very important milestone, and their adorable reaction has animal lovers smiling.

Boneka and Kari got their first taste of meat, and judging by their faces, the tiny predators may have discovered a new favorite food.

The Memphis Zoo shared a video of the moment on Instagram, showing keepers carefully offering small pieces of meat to the cubs using a long feeding tool.

At first, both babies seemed a little unsure.

They cautiously leaned forward, sniffed the unfamiliar treat and slowly opened their mouths for a taste.

Then everything changed.

The cubs immediately seemed more interested, with their expressions perking up as they realized just how good their new snack was.

Zoo staff joked that the pair looked like they were in “heaven” after their first bites, and the little tigers were soon offered another piece.

The moment was adorable, but it also marked an important stage in their development.

“Boneka and Kari have reached the age of exploring meat, so their keepers are offering them different types to taste and try,” the Memphis Zoo explained.

The zoo also noted that these feeding sessions help the cubs build positive relationships and trust with their keepers, which can eventually make important training and care routines easier.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of the sweet milestone.

One person called the pair “the tiger cub of cuteness,” while others pointed out how slowly the babies opened their mouths before tasting the meat.

Another viewer noticed their eyes widening with excitement, while someone else joked that their natural tiger instincts were finally kicking in.

Even though Boneka and Kari are still tiny and impossibly cute, moments like this are a reminder that they’re growing quickly.

For now, though, their first taste of meat looked less like a fierce predator moment and more like two very fluffy babies discovering the best snack ever.
