One look at this raccoon’s face, and it’s pretty clear she has no interest in letting the scratching stop anytime soon.

A ridiculously sweet TikTok shared by @sashatheraccoon shows the little raccoon getting gently scratched while staring toward the camera with an expression of pure contentment.

Her eyes look soft, her face is completely relaxed, and she seems perfectly happy to soak up every second of the attention.

The moment quickly won over viewers, many of whom admitted the raccoon’s “please pet me” face was almost impossible to resist.

“Bro is supposed to be saving the galaxy,” one person joked, comparing her to Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy.

Another viewer asked the question animal lovers seem to wrestle with constantly: “If not supposed to be friend, why friend shaped??”

Someone else confessed that their “toxic trait” is assuming every animal automatically loves people because humans are the ones handing out scratches and belly rubs.

Another commenter even shared a meme of a hand reaching through a screen to pet the raccoon, proving that apparently even a phone isn’t enough to stop the urge to give her a little extra attention.

Part of what makes raccoons so fascinating is just how expressive and human-like they can seem.

Their famously nimble front paws are especially important.

Raccoons have a highly developed sense of touch, and their sensitive front paws help them investigate objects, handle food, climb and explore their surroundings.

That’s why raccoons are so often seen grabbing, poking and pawing at things with what almost look like tiny hands.

They don’t have opposable thumbs, but their long, flexible digits give them impressive dexterity.

So while this raccoon may look like she’s simply enjoying the ultimate spa treatment, those adorable paws and expressive little face are part of what makes the species so endlessly entertaining to watch.

And judging by her expression, she’d probably be perfectly fine if the scratch session lasted all day.
