Most dogs have very strong opinions about rain, and those opinions usually aren’t positive.

Some pups will stand at the door and refuse to move. Others take one look outside, realize the ground is wet, and immediately decide they can hold it a little longer.

Then there’s Nova the Golden Retriever, who appears to be completely over the idea of a rainy walk before it even really gets started.

In the adorable moment, Nova heads outside with her human while the rain comes down around them. Neither one looks particularly thrilled to be there.

Nova seems to have one goal in mind: do whatever needs to be done and get back inside as quickly as possible.

Fortunately for her, her human appears to feel exactly the same way.

Instead of enjoying a slow stroll through the neighborhood, the pair quickly turn their outing into a shared mission to escape the bad weather.

It’s the kind of scene every dog owner can relate to.

Rainy-day bathroom breaks can become a full negotiation when a pup decides wet paws simply aren’t worth it. Some dogs suddenly move at a snail’s pace, while others sprint through their business and make a beeline for the front door.

Nova clearly belongs in the second group.

Golden Retrievers are usually known for loving the outdoors, but even the happiest, most adventurous pup can have limits.

For Nova, those limits apparently include getting soaked during what should have been a simple walk.

The funniest part may be how perfectly matched she and her human seem to be.

Neither one wants to stay outside any longer than necessary, and together they make their retreat toward home.

It’s a simple little moment, but that’s exactly what makes it so sweet.

Sometimes the best pet videos aren’t about big tricks or dramatic adventures. They’re just about dogs being themselves and reminding us how funny everyday life with them can be.

Nova may not be a fan of rainy walks, but she definitely knows how to make one entertaining.
