Getting comfortable for a nap can take a little effort, especially when you’re a tiny calf who can’t see where you’re going. But one adorable baby cow named Stevie has developed his own special routine, and the hilarious ending is making animal lovers smile.
Stevie is a 3-month-old blind calf whose sweet personality has captured hearts on Instagram. In a video shared by @andersonfarmsemily, the little guy carefully prepares to settle down for some much-needed rest beside his furry family.
And apparently, getting cozy is serious business for this little cowboy!
The video shows Stevie slowly moving around his resting area, taking a few careful steps and turning in circles as he searches for just the right spot.
Because Stevie is blind, he relies on his other senses to navigate his surroundings. Rather than simply dropping to the ground like some calves might, he takes his time making sure he’s comfortable.
Two other young calves are resting nearby, including his sister Scout, who becomes Stevie’s chosen napping companion.
Once Stevie finds the perfect spot beside her, he carefully lowers himself to the ground and settles in.
It’s already an incredibly sweet moment, but this little calf has one final surprise.
Just as he gets comfortable, Stevie lets out a perfectly timed little toot!
The unexpected sound turns an otherwise peaceful naptime video into something absolutely hilarious.
His caretaker couldn’t resist joking about the moment, writing, “Apparently, that was the final step in getting comfortable.”

Viewers were delighted by Stevie’s unusual bedtime routine and his funny little finale.
“That’s remarkable and so sweet he found his little family to relax with,” one person commented.
Another viewer couldn’t help laughing at the unexpected sound, writing, “Oh! I heard that!”
While Stevie’s routine might look a little different from that of other calves, blind animals can often learn to navigate familiar environments using their hearing, sense of smell, touch, and memory.
Consistent surroundings and familiar companions can also help animals with vision loss feel more secure.
For Stevie, having his sister Scout nearby appears to make his resting spot an especially inviting place to settle down.
And although he may need a little extra time to get situated, this precious calf certainly knows how to make himself comfortable.
Between his gentle movements, sweet sibling bond, and surprisingly noisy ending, Stevie has given animal lovers a reason to laugh and smile.
Sometimes, getting ready for a nap means finding the perfect spot, snuggling up beside someone you love, and letting out one last little toot before drifting off to dreamland.
