Halloween might still be a few days away, but one adorable Boxer named Poppy is already spreading plenty of happiness in her neighborhood, and all she needs is a pumpkin costume and her irresistible personality.
In a heartwarming social media video, Poppy’s owner decided to conduct a little experiment: How many people could her sweet pup make smile in just 15 minutes?
The plan was simple. Dress Poppy in her adorable orange pumpkin costume, take her for a ride around town, and see how many strangers she could cheer up along the way.
And it didn’t take long for the furry little pumpkin to work her magic.
Poppy started her adventure sitting proudly in the passenger seat as her owner pulled into a Starbucks drive-thru. The employees immediately noticed the unusually cute customer, and their delighted reactions got her smile-counting mission off to a wonderful start.
After receiving a special pup cup, Poppy continued her journey, catching the attention of two people in a nearby car. They were so charmed by the pumpkin-clad Boxer that they stopped to give her some affection.
Next came another coffee shop, where Poppy made two more strangers smile while they waited for their drinks.
Even someone riding on a passing bus couldn’t resist the sight of a dog dressed as a giant pumpkin. The passenger spotted Poppy through the window and smiled, adding yet another happy face to her growing collection.
Of course, no outing would be complete without a visit to Grandma.
Poppy’s final stop was her grandmother’s workplace, where she received an especially enthusiastic greeting and plenty of attention.
By the end of her 15-minute adventure, Poppy had brought smiles to nine people, proving that a little kindness and a ridiculously cute costume can go a long way.
