One adorable Golden Retriever puppy has decided that when it comes to the terrifying vacuum cleaner, the best defense is to pretend it doesn’t exist. Unfortunately, his hiding skills could use a little work!
In a hilarious TikTok shared by @mirandarosemartin, the fluffy youngster finds himself face-to-face with every dog’s worst nightmare: the noisy vacuum. Rather than confront the frightening machine, he comes up with what he apparently considers a foolproof escape plan.
With his back paws firmly planted on the floor, the little Golden stretches up against the bed and buries his entire face deep into the pillows. There’s just one tiny problem. His entire fluffy backside is still sticking out in plain sight!
The precious pup seems convinced that if he can’t see the vacuum, the vacuum certainly can’t see him. It’s the canine equivalent of closing your eyes during a scary movie, and his innocent attempt at disappearing is almost too cute to handle.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of the puppy’s questionable survival strategy, with one joking, “Maybe if I don’t look it’ll go away.”

While vacuum cleaners can genuinely frighten dogs because of their loud noises and unpredictable movements, this little guy has apparently decided that a couple of soft pillows are all the protection he needs.
He may not have mastered the art of hiding, but he’s certainly mastered the art of melting hearts. Someone please tell this sweet baby that the big, scary cleaning monster isn’t coming to get him!
