Who says dogs and cows can’t be best friends? One adorable cow named Nimai has spent the last two years growing up alongside two fluffy Great Pyrenees, and their heartwarming friendship is proving that some bonds only get sweeter with age!
Nimai lives at an animal sanctuary with his canine besties, Tofu and Tempeh, and the trio has been inseparable since they arrived as youngsters in 2024. Back then, Nimai was just a little calf, while his two furry companions were energetic puppies with absolutely no idea how to sit still.
In an adorable Instagram video, viewers get to see how their friendship has changed over the years, and the transformation is enough to melt anyone’s heart.
The video begins with footage from 2024, showing Tofu and Tempeh having the time of their lives wrestling, rolling around in the dirt, and causing all kinds of puppy chaos. Meanwhile, little Nimai stands nearby, calmly watching his ridiculous friends as if he’s wondering when they’ll finally settle down.
He’s clearly the responsible one in this friendship!
But fast-forward to 2026, and the scene couldn’t be more different.
WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:
The once-rowdy puppies have grown into enormous, fluffy Great Pyrenees, and their wild wrestling sessions have been replaced by gentle affection. Instead of tumbling around their bovine buddy, Tofu and Tempeh now approach Nimai with sweet little sniffs and affectionate paws against his face.
And Nimai? He’s still the same relaxed sweetheart, happily spending time with the two dogs who have been by his side since childhood.
It’s especially precious seeing how comfortable the three animals are together. They may look completely different, but after two years of growing up together, they seem to have formed their own little family.
Great Pyrenees were originally bred to guard livestock, so their calm and protective nature around farm animals isn’t entirely surprising. Still, there’s something extra special about watching two dogs develop such a close friendship with a cow.
And honestly, Nimai might just be the world’s biggest honorary puppy!
From their mischievous early days to their peaceful grown-up cuddles, this unlikely trio is a wonderful reminder that friendship comes in all shapes, sizes, and species.
Here’s hoping Nimai, Tofu, and Tempeh have many more years of adorable adventures together. They’ve already mastered the art of being best friends!
