For most dogs, a quick dip in the pool is a fun way to cool off. But for two water-loving Golden Retrievers, swimming isn’t just an activity. It’s apparently a full-time commitment, and getting out is simply not on the agenda.
In a hilarious TikTok shared by @imbluethesiberiann, the adorable duo makes it abundantly clear that they’re nowhere near ready to call it quits. Despite their owner’s efforts to end their swimming session, the stubborn pups have other plans.
One of the Goldens even dives headfirst into the water, showing off some impressive enthusiasm for pool time. With both dogs determined to keep the fun going, their owner appears to be fighting a losing battle.
Viewers couldn’t get enough of the soaked troublemakers, especially their refusal to cooperate.

“Never seen a dog dive head first into a pool,” one surprised commenter wrote.
Another viewer couldn’t help laughing at the owner’s attempt to dry off the fluffy swimmers, joking, “Sorry to break it to you, but that towel is not drying a damn thing.”
And they’re probably right. Anyone who’s ever owned a Golden Retriever knows that a soaking-wet Golden can turn an entire house into a splash zone with one enthusiastic shake. Two of them? You might as well start handing out raincoats.
Of course, these pups’ obsession with swimming isn’t particularly surprising. Golden Retrievers were originally bred in Scotland to retrieve game from land and water, so many naturally love a good splash. Their water-resistant double coats and athletic builds make them well suited for swimming, although even the most enthusiastic water dogs need supervision and occasional breaks.
As for these two adorable pool enthusiasts, they seem perfectly content to keep swimming until someone comes up with an offer better than another round of fun in the water.
And judging by their determination, that might take a while.
