Who needs a fancy security system when you have a tiny Dachshund determined to protect the entire house? One adorable pup named Mabel has appointed herself head of home security, and she’s taking her new position very seriously!
In a hilarious TikTok video, the miniature Dachshund can be seen standing perfectly still at the window, keeping a watchful eye on everything happening outside.
And judging by her intense concentration, absolutely nothing is getting past this little security guard!
Mabel doesn’t budge an inch as she stares through the glass, apparently scanning the neighborhood for suspicious activity. Whether it’s a passing squirrel, a delivery driver or an unsuspecting neighbor, this pint-sized protector is ready to sound the alarm.
Her mom shared the adorable moment with a caption announcing that Mabel was officially “reporting for duty.”
And honestly, somebody needs to give this hardworking girl a promotion!

Of course, Dachshunds may be small, but they’re famous for their big personalities and surprisingly bold attitudes. Originally bred to hunt badgers, these little dogs are naturally alert, curious and often convinced they’re much bigger than they actually are.
And Mabel is clearly no exception!
She might not be the most intimidating guard dog in the neighborhood, but what she lacks in size, she certainly makes up for in determination.
For now, Mabel seems perfectly happy spending her days watching over her kingdom, one suspicious movement at a time.
Hopefully, her family remembers to pay her for all that hard work. A few treats and some belly rubs should do the trick!
