They use that to their advantage to get extra playtime or treats.
But sometimes, they don’t even have to walk all over the pushover parent. That parent is one step ahead of them.

Something tells us he’s been waiting a very long time for Mom to leave so he could have a sunny pool day with the two German Shepherds. LOL! And we don’t blame him. If Mom is going on vacation, why can’t he make his own staycation with the dogs?!
These dogs wasted no time jumping into the mini pools their Dad set up for them. They were splashing around, having the time of their life.
Plus, Dad was doing everything right to keep these dogs cool in the summer heat – water, hydrating celery snacks, and monitoring their energy.
