Things are looking up for one golden retriever thanks to a new puppy in his life! Earlier this year, a pooch named Freddy was mourning the loss of his older brother and best bud, Pappy.
However, his owner shared a sweet video on Instagram showing how the dog eventually opened up his heart to a brand new sibling. Now, Freddy and his little brother, Frankie, do everything together!

Of course, it took some time for the golden retriever to warm up to the idea of having a puppy in the house. Apparently, though, Frankie was pretty persistent about making Freddy his new best friend.
As their mom explained in her adorable video, the little puppy followed the older dog “everywhere.” It wasn’t long before the tiny pooch’s efforts began to pay off. The footage of the two brothers playing, cuddling, and napping together is just too cute for words!
“Nothing better than 2 goldens,” one user wrote in the comments. “So happy little Frankie came along!!”
