Every adult remembers playing traditional childhood games with all their neighborhood friends. Whether it was a game of flashlight tag or checkers, the memories last for years to come. Animals enjoy playing those traditional games too: they might just look a little different than the human version!

One of the most playful dog breeds is the Great Dane. Honestly, they are just massive four-legged kids that want to play all day long! Appa, the 6-year-old Great Dane loves to go for hikes with his human, and his favorite part of the trip is the game of Peek-a-Boo they play together.

WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW:

Picture Appa, a stunning Mantle Great Dane, run up ahead of his mom and try to “hide” himself behind a tree. His mom then stands on one side, slowly peeking around the tree to catch him in her eyesight.

He quickly takes cover around the other side of the tree base where she “can’t” see him! His human then creeps around to the new side of the tree, makes eye contact with Appa who hops on over to the first side again!

There are several videos on @kazandappa that show the progression of their game, and he picks the exact same tree almost every time! This gigantic game of cat and mouse must be one of the cutest things we have seen, and his fan base agrees! Here’s a sample of what they said in the comments:

“Proof that dogs have a sense of humor, catch me if you can! Ha-ha!”

“Great Dane hide and seek, big trees required!”

“Stealthy, lol, I have the same guy!”

“And how many of us watching were playing along? Nobody?? Just me???”
