Sid is a 17-year-old goat who is nearing the end of his life. His best friend is a cow named Rem. The two were rescued together 12 years ago from a farm that didn’t provide adequate shelter. Because of this, Sid would snuggle up to Rem for warmth.
Still, all these years later, and now living a safe and comfortable life Mockingbird Farm Sanctuary, the two still sleep snuggled together, even though they have their own warm beds. It’s such a sweet friendship, and it’s both heartbreaking and endearing to see them together in this video shared by Milwaukee photographer and TikToker Strong_Hillary.

Aww Sid is such a sweet goat and loves Rem so much! Hillary’s caption to the video made us so sad and happy at the same time, “Sadly, Sid’s health has been declining recently due to old age and although everything medically is being done to keep him happy, his time is limited. May this beautiful relationship be a testament to the strong, lifelong bonds that animals can form.”
As you can imagine, people loved Hillary’s video and left nearly 5,000 comments about it. Many people were heartbroken already for Rem, knowing that he’s soon going to lose his best friend and be alone after being with his partner for at least 12 years.
