There’s something magical about watching baby animals discover the world for the very first time — and a rescued kitten named Luffy just had the sweetest introduction to sunlight.

At only 6 weeks old, Luffy had never seen a sunbeam before, and their initial confusion quickly turned into pure delight. The tiny kitten batted at the light, tried to catch it in their paws, and even attempted to figure out where it was coming from. While their sibling, a brown tabby named Peanut, didn’t join in this time, he stars in his own adorable moments in other videos.
Viewers couldn’t get enough of Luffy’s excitement. “I hope Luffy and Peanut know nothing but sunlight for the rest of their lives!” wrote @Colby. Another commenter, @SurfaceTension, shared, “Mine are five years old and still chase sunlight and sparkles across the room!”
Some were curious about Peanut, who seemed to be sitting this round out. One user asked if he was okay, and Peanut’s owner explained, “Yes, this was the first week we got him. He was really sick but finally able to walk around a little. He’s made a full recovery now!”
