A woman is going viral after stopping on a dark, rain-soaked road to help an injured duck she spotted struggling on the side of the street. While most people might have kept driving, she didn’t hesitate.
She pulled over.
In the now-circulating video, the woman first notices a small group of ducks waddling along the roadside in the pouring rain. But then she sees something heartbreaking—a lone duck lying motionless near a puddle on the opposite side of the road.
Without thinking twice, she rushes to help.
She carefully scoops up the injured duck and brings him into her car, placing him gently on the passenger seat. Despite being hurt, the duck is able to move a little, giving hope that his injuries aren’t life-threatening.

As she drives, she softly reassures him, whispering that everything will be okay while gently petting him to keep him calm.
Instead of leaving things to chance, she takes him straight to a nearby veterinary clinic so he can get the care he needs.

Others, however, raised concerns about the rest of the ducks seen in the video. Some viewers believe they may not be wild at all, suggesting they could be domestic ducks that were abandoned.
“These are dumped ducks… they won’t survive out there,” one commenter warned, urging that the remaining ducks should also be rescued.
