If you think your dog eats anything you put in front of them… think again.
Some pups can be just as picky as toddlers—loving a meal one day and completely rejecting it the next. And one fluffy giant named Chewy is proving that in the most hilarious way possible.
Chewy, an adorable Newfoundland, recently went viral after turning his nose up at his plain dinner like it was totally beneath him. In a TikTok posted by @chewythenewfie, the big pup can be seen nudging his plate away with his nose, making it very clear he’s not interested.
But then… great grandma steps in.
The 96-year-old instantly knows how to fix the situation.
“Chewy, don’t do that. Eat your dinner,” she tells him—but when he refuses to budge, she comes up with a solution that no dog could resist.

“I’ll put a grilled cheese on it!”
Cue the chaos.
Chewy’s owner quickly objects, warning, “Grandma, he does not need a grilled cheese!” But it’s already too late. Grandma heads to the kitchen, whips up a perfectly golden grilled cheese sandwich, and adds it right on top of his dinner like it’s the most normal thing in the world.
When she brings it back, she confidently tells him, “Now you’ll like it!”
And just like that… he does.
Chewy immediately dives into his meal, happily chowing down like the earlier protest never even happened.
The internet, of course, is obsessed.
“Grandma always knows best!” one viewer commented, while another joked, “Is she adopting more grand-puppies?”
Others couldn’t get over the upgrade: “That grilled cheese looked FIRE!”
Let’s just say… dog owners everywhere are hoping their pups didn’t see this video—because once they realize grilled cheese is an option, plain kibble might never cut it again.
