A man and his Labrador set out for what was supposed to be a peaceful five-hour hike — but they ended up rescuing a tiny kitten who completely stole their hearts.
During the hike, the pair came across a small black kitten wandering alone. Instead of being scared or running away, the kitten walked right up to them and instantly bonded like they’d known each other forever.
Even more surprising? The Labrador’s reaction.
Instead of barking or acting territorial, the dog gently sniffed the kitten and seemed totally calm — almost like he was welcoming the little guy into the pack.
From that moment on, the kitten became part of the adventure.
At first, the man carried the kitten in his backpack, but the tiny traveler quickly got uncomfortable. That’s when things got even cuter — he moved the kitten into the dog’s water bowl, where the little guy curled up and slept peacefully for nearly two hours.
Yes, really.

The trio finished the hike together, with the kitten tagging along like he had always belonged.
