A senior dog is getting a fresh start after being found in one of the most dangerous places imaginable — a busy six-lane intersection in Las Vegas.
The dog, later named Isabelle, was spotted alone in heavy traffic, somehow surviving as cars sped by. A good Samaritan spent two days trying to safely rescue her before finally bringing her to a local animal rescue.
Given where she was found, rescuers say it’s nothing short of a miracle she made it out alive.
Once at the shelter, staff scanned Isabelle for a microchip and were hopeful she’d be reunited with her owner. But the story took a sad turn.
They learned she had been missing for two months — and her owner, dealing with declining health, could no longer care for her.
Suddenly, Isabelle needed a new home.
Video from the rescue shows the scared pup trembling and hiding under a bed, clearly overwhelmed and unsure of what was happening. It’s a scene many shelter workers know too well — older dogs struggling to adjust after losing everything familiar.
After just over a week, she was moved to an adoption center — and that’s when everything changed.
A woman saw her the same day and instantly fell in love, adopting her on the spot.

Thankfully, Isabelle didn’t have to wait long.
Just like that, Isabelle went from alone on a dangerous highway to safe in a loving home.
The story quickly went viral, with thousands of people celebrating her second chance.
From surviving traffic to finding a forever family, Isabelle’s journey is the kind of ending everyone loves to see.
