A trip to the groomer turned into a viral comedy moment thanks to one very polite Golden Retriever who clearly had opinions about one part of the process.

The pup, featured in a now wildly popular video shared by Biscuits & Bath, didn’t seem to mind getting a bath at all. But when it came time for the blow-dry? That’s where he drew the line.

Instead of barking, running away, or causing chaos, this well-mannered dog had a much gentler approach. Every time the groomer tried to turn on the dryer, he calmly lifted his paw and pushed it away — like he was saying, “No thanks, I’m good.”

And he didn’t just do it once.

Over and over again, the dog politely blocked the dryer, keeping his cool the entire time. The result? A hilarious clip that’s racked up more than 14 million views and thousands of comments from people who couldn’t get enough.

One viewer joked, “Oh no thank you, I don’t need a blowout. I’m just going home after this,” while another laughed, “He’s looking around like, ‘Where’s the manager?’”

The video is funny, but it also highlights something a lot of dog owners already know — many pups are not fans of blow dryers.

Experts say it’s because the experience can overwhelm a dog’s senses all at once. Between the loud noise, strong air pressure, heat, and unfamiliar feeling, it can be a lot to handle. And since dogs can hear much higher frequencies than humans, what sounds normal to us can feel extremely intense to them.

For pet owners dealing with the same issue at home, there are ways to help dogs adjust. Letting them get used to the dryer slowly — starting with it turned off, then gradually introducing the sound and airflow — can make a big difference over time.

Still, not every dog is going to be convinced.

And if they are, they might just prefer to say “no thank you” in the most adorable way possible.
