Nobody likes being forced to work out.

That includes Miss Kitty, a gloriously chubby cat who has become the internet’s latest reluctant fitness queen after her family tried to help her get more exercise.

Miss Kitty’s owner, Jill, explained that the vet recommended the cat get moving more often. The advice was not just because of Miss Kitty’s weight, but also because she has diabetes.

So Jill’s sons decided to help.

Their plan was sweet, supportive and full of good intentions. They would run daily sprints with Miss Kitty so she could get her exercise in alongside them.

There was just one problem.

Miss Kitty wanted absolutely no part of this fitness journey.

In the hilarious video, the boys can be seen enthusiastically doing their sprints while Miss Kitty takes off running too. At first glance, it almost looks like she is fully committed to her new workout routine.

But that is not what is happening.

Miss Kitty is not running because she loves exercise. She is running straight back to the house in an effort to hide from her human brothers and escape the entire situation.

Honestly, who can blame her?

The funniest part is that Miss Kitty has to be carried out to her exercise spot before she bolts home like she is fleeing a crime scene.

One commenter nailed it, writing, “The best part is her being carried to her exercise!!!” The comment racked up more than 57,000 likes.

Another person joked, “It’s me trying to get the closest parking space when going to the park to walk.”

Someone else asked the question everyone was wondering: “Wait, is she just running back to the house?!”

Jill confirmed it with a laugh: “YES!!”

Miss Kitty may not be thrilled about her new routine, but she is definitely giving it everything she has — as long as the finish line is her front door.

“She is both fast and furious lol!” another commenter wrote.

Plenty of people admitted they related a little too much to Miss Kitty’s workout attitude.

“Maybe this is how I need to exercise,” one person joked. “Get dropped off somewhere and have to run my way home lol!”

Miss Kitty may be on a vet-approved fitness plan, but she has clearly made her own rules.

Step one: get carried outside.

Step two: sprint.

Step three: go directly home and avoid all further athletic activity.

It may not be exactly what the vet had in mind, but it is impossible not to cheer her on.
