Everyone has a morning routine. Some people hit the snooze button several times, others catch up on the news over coffee, and a few somehow find the motivation for an early workout.

Dogs are creatures of habit, too, and one English Setter named Sgt. Pepper may have one of the healthiest — and funniest — morning routines around.

The one-year-old Orange Belton English Setter has gone viral for the elaborate stretching session he performs before starting his day.

A video shared on Instagram by @sgt.pepper.the.setter shows the beautifully patterned pup slowly easing himself out of bed as Dolly Parton’s classic “9 to 5” plays in the background.

The song is a perfect match for Sgt. Pepper, who looks as though he is preparing to clock in for another demanding shift.

According to the video’s caption, his daily responsibilities include “supervising the tiny humans, chasing birds, accepting compliments, and making sure no crumb goes uneaten.”

The clip begins with Sgt. Pepper sliding into an impressively long downward-dog position while his back legs remain stretched across the bed.

His body seems to grow several inches as he reaches toward the floor.

“Did he gain a foot doing this move?” one amused viewer joked.

Sgt. Pepper then places all four paws on the hardwood floor and immediately begins a second stretch.

This time, he lowers his head and front legs toward the ground while pushing his rear end high into the air, holding the familiar yoga pose for several seconds.

Once his morning workout is complete, the flexible pup casually struts out of the room, apparently ready to begin another busy day of bird chasing, child supervision and crumb patrol.

The relatable routine has delighted viewers, who could not get enough of Sgt. Pepper’s serious commitment to starting the day properly.
