Anyone who has ever tried to finish a project with a child or dog “helping” knows the job is probably going to take twice as long.

That is exactly what happens in one household thanks to Bruce, a Great Pyrenees who refuses to let Dad work alone.

Bruce’s owner, Lauren Allen, shared a hilarious video showing just how involved the giant white dog gets whenever her husband starts a project around the house.

Lauren calls Bruce the nosiest dog she has ever owned, and it is easy to see why.

Instead of watching from a distance, Bruce stays right beside Dad, carefully inspecting everything he does.

And sometimes, supervising is not enough.

The determined pup has also been known to grab tools and materials needed for the job and walk away with them.

Lauren thinks Bruce makes a pretty great helper, although her husband may have a slightly different opinion.

“He’s smart enough to actually be helpful; the problem is, he doesn’t wanna!” Lauren joked in the comments.

Viewers immediately related to Bruce’s habit of taking things that do not belong to him.

One commenter laughed about having a similar problem with their own dogs, writing, “Thieves! I have bought so many feed bowls, they hide them from us!”

Bruce’s need to be involved may actually come naturally.

Great Pyrenees were originally bred as livestock guardian dogs, meaning they were expected to constantly watch over animals and their surroundings.

That protective instinct can also carry over into family life, with many Great Pyrenees keeping a close eye on everything their humans are doing.

The breed is also known for being intelligent and independent, which means these dogs often prefer making their own decisions instead of simply following directions.

For Bruce, apparently that means every home improvement project needs a supervisor.

And if Dad happens to lose a tool along the way, there is a pretty good chance Bruce knows exactly where it went.
