A mischievous baby bear in Tennessee has gone viral after it was caught on camera dragging an entire trash can off a balcony and hauling it into the woods.

The hilarious moment was shared on TikTok by ABC 7 Chicago after visitor Dottie Staxx recorded the cub outside a cabin.

In the video, the little bear grabs the trash can with its teeth and starts pulling it away all by itself.

“Oh my God, this is crazy,” Staxx can be heard saying as she watches from inside.

The cub eventually manages to get the trash can down from the balcony and drags it toward the woods.

Staxx told Storyful the bear was shy at first but came closer to the cabin when it smelled her group’s breakfast food. “At first I was scared of it, but the bear was not aggressive and only wanted food,” she said. Viewers immediately had jokes.

One person said the bear was “out terrorizing the town.”

Another compared the little thief to Yogi Bear.

“Yogi got confused, he thought it was a picnic basket,” they joked.

Others were simply impressed by how strong the cub was.

“It’s kind of impressive,” one commenter wrote.

Another called the bear a “smart little fella.”

Staxx said the bear was shy at first but became more interested in the cabin after smelling the group’s breakfast.

She admitted the encounter initially made her nervous, but said the cub never acted aggressively.

According to Staxx, it seemed interested in one thing only: food.

One commenter even joked that everyone had misunderstood what they were watching.

“Y’all think it’s weird [but] that’s actually the trash guy,” they wrote. “It’s the way it works. Every Tuesday.”

Whether it was looking for breakfast or simply trying out a new career in garbage collection, the little bear definitely knew how to make an entrance.
