A volleyball tournament in Aspen got an unexpected interruption when a pair of bears wandered onto the scene and made themselves right at home.

The wild visitors were spotted hanging around the court and checking out the equipment while players and spectators watched from a safe distance.

Instead of joining the game, one of the bears appeared more interested in a nearby tree, using it as a giant scratching post while the other casually explored the area.

The bizarre scene quickly amused viewers online, especially those familiar with how often bears are spotted around Aspen.

“Never seen a picnic before?” one commenter joked.

Another wrote, “Aspen bear doing yoga and Pilates, what else did you expect?”

Several locals also chimed in to say that seeing bears casually roaming around is hardly unusual in the Colorado mountain town.

But one viewer may have had the funniest reaction of all.

“I beg y’all to stop recording videos of strangers and posting them on the internet. This bear probably has a career,” the commenter joked.

For anyone living in Aspen, a couple of bears crashing a volleyball tournament may apparently just be another day in the neighborhood.
