Golden Retrievers may be known for being sweet and affectionate, but anyone who has lived with one knows they can also be hilariously dramatic.
One Golden Retriever named Bentley proved exactly that when he decided a regular dog bed simply wasn’t good enough.
In a video shared online, Bentley walks over to his owner, grabs the blanket right off their lap and carries it away.
At first, it looks like classic Golden Retriever mischief.
Then his plan becomes clear.
Bentley carefully uses the stolen blanket to create his own cozy little sleeping spot, arranging it until everything is just right before settling in.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of the pup’s surprisingly thoughtful bedtime routine.
“What do you mean, his little brain thought of all this?” one commenter joked.
Others quickly shared stories about their own dogs and their unusual sleeping habits.
One person wrote that their dog refuses to settle down unless he is tucked in with a blanket over his head.
“My boy likes to be tucked in with a blanket over his head. If not, he gets up and sleeps by the door,” the viewer shared.
Bentley may have stolen the blanket without permission, but judging by the cozy bed he created, it seems he had a pretty good reason.
And if there are any spare blankets left in the house, Bentley will probably find them.
