Baby animals learn a lot by watching their moms, and one tiny donkey has apparently decided that whatever Mom does, she’s going to do too.
An adorable farm video shows a mama donkey rolling happily back and forth on the ground inside her pen. Seconds later, her little foal drops down and begins copying the exact same move.
“Donkey See, Donkey Do,” the text on the video jokes.
The tiny donkey may not have perfected the technique just yet, but she certainly gets points for enthusiasm.
Rolling in dirt and dust is normal behavior for donkeys. A good dust bath can help keep their coat clean and may also provide some protection from insects and the sun.
For this youngster, though, the important part seems to be following Mom’s example.
And this apparently isn’t the first time the baby donkey has turned her mother into her personal role model.
In another sweet clip, the little burro can be seen racing after Mom as the pair run across the farm.
“Mom, wait up,” the caption jokes as the youngster’s tiny legs work overtime trying to keep pace.
