Agatha the horse had apparently been keeping a close eye on the barn cats for quite some time.
So when her owner finally introduced her to one tiny kitten, Agatha wasted absolutely no time making a new friend.
The gentle mare met the little cat for the first time on Sept. 18, and her reaction was so sweet that viewers immediately fell in love with the unlikely pair.
In the adorable video shared by @daniellequestrian02, Agatha carefully lowers her enormous head toward the tiny kitten, clearly fascinated by the miniature creature standing in front of her.

There is no wild movement or rough play. Instead, Agatha seems to understand almost immediately that her new friend is very, very small.
She gently investigates the kitten and keeps leaning closer, even when her owner attempts to give the two animals a little more space.
It almost looks as if Agatha had been waiting for this introduction all along.
Her interest was especially cute considering her owner said the mare had already been watching the barn cats before finally being allowed to meet one up close.
Viewers quickly became obsessed with Agatha’s soft approach.
“I am convinced horses are just very big sweet puppies,” one commenter joked.
It’s easy to see why.
Horses are naturally social animals and can form close bonds not only with other horses but also with people and other animals they become comfortable around.
Still, adorable interactions like Agatha’s should always be supervised carefully.
Even the calmest horse is dramatically larger and stronger than a kitten, and an accidental step, kick or sudden movement could seriously injure a smaller animal.
That makes Agatha’s gentle behavior even sweeter to watch.
She seemed completely captivated by the kitten without becoming overly excited, carefully moving closer while her owner remained right beside them.
For one tiny barn kitten, meeting an animal many times its size could have been intimidating.
Instead, it ended with what looked like the beginning of one very unusual friendship.
And judging by Agatha’s reaction, she probably wouldn’t mind seeing her tiny new friend again very soon.
