Two cats found themselves locked in a hilarious sibling showdown after both deciding there was only one acceptable place to sit — the very top of the cat tree.
The dramatic battle was captured on TikTok, where the pair can be seen wrestling over the highest perch like it was the most valuable piece of real estate in the house.
One cat had already claimed the coveted top spot when his sibling climbed onto the perch below and apparently decided he wanted it too.
That was all it took.
The cat on top immediately began swatting downward, while the challenger below pushed back and tried to force his way higher.
Within seconds, what started as a simple disagreement turned into a full-on wrestling match.
At one point, the cat on the lower level nearly managed to shove his sibling off the top perch, but the reigning champion somehow held his ground.
Neither cat seemed willing to surrender.

Their owner summed up the chaos perfectly in the caption: “Cat fight, why? They are fighting for the top of the cat tree.”
Viewers instantly understood the sibling energy.
“Cats are so dramatic,” one person wrote.
Another compared the fight to siblings arguing over the best seat in the car, joking, “My brother and I fighting over the front seat.”

Another added that after all the fighting, the cats would probably end up abandoning the prized perch entirely and sitting somewhere else.
That may sound ridiculous, but cat behavior can make these little battles surprisingly common.
Cats often prefer elevated spots because they give them a better view of their surroundings and can make them feel more secure. In multi-cat homes, that means one particularly desirable perch can quickly become the favorite spot for everyone.
For these two, the top of the cat tree was clearly worth fighting for.
And while the battle looked intense, viewers mostly seemed to agree on one thing — it was impossible to look away.
