Some dogs will gobble up just about anything you put in front of them. But one adorable Cocker Spaniel named Mister Theodore has discovered that eating a strawberry isn’t nearly as easy as it looks.
The fluffy pup has captured hearts on TikTok after a video shared by @itsmistertheodore showed him struggling with a simple snack. Despite his determination, Theodore just can’t seem to figure out how to take a bite.
In the hilarious clip, Theodore repeatedly tries to nibble on the little red fruit, moving his mouth as though he’s enjoying a delicious treat. There’s just one problem. The strawberry doesn’t appear to be getting any smaller!
It’s hard not to laugh at the sweet dog’s determination. He keeps trying, seemingly convinced that his next attempt will finally do the trick. Meanwhile, the stubborn strawberry remains practically untouched.

Viewers couldn’t get enough of Theodore’s adorable struggle, and the comments quickly filled with laughter.
“Attack 100%; damage 0%,” one person joked.
Another viewer wondered, “How the heck is all this chomping happening but nothing is being eaten?”
Even YouTube joined the fun, commenting, “We could watch this for hours.”
Perhaps the funniest observation came from someone who pointed out that not a single dent had been made in the strawberry.
While Theodore might need a little help with his fruit-eating technique, strawberries are generally safe for dogs to enjoy in moderation. According to the American Kennel Club, they contain fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants. However, owners should wash them, remove the green tops, and cut them into small pieces to prevent choking.
For now, Theodore may not have mastered the art of eating strawberries, but he’s certainly mastered something else: making people smile.
And judging by his determination, we wouldn’t count him out just yet!
