One adorable dog named Teddy isn’t letting paralysis keep him from doing what he loves most, and a heartwarming video of his excitement over a trip to the lake is making animal lovers smile.

Teddy, whose adventures are shared on the TikTok account Teddy on Wheels, survived intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), a spinal condition that left him unable to use his back legs. But judging by his enthusiasm, this determined pup has no intention of missing out on life’s little adventures.

In the sweet video, Teddy and another dog are waiting in the back of a Jeep when their dad opens the rear door. Both pups immediately realize where they are, and the excitement is impossible to contain.

While his furry companion takes off running toward the lake, Teddy is just as eager to join the fun. Already wearing his life jacket, he starts pulling himself forward with his two front legs, determined to reach the water as quickly as possible.

Fortunately, his dad knows exactly what’s coming!

Standing beside the Jeep, he grabs the handle on Teddy’s life jacket and helps support the enthusiastic pup as they make their way toward the lake together.

The video’s on-screen caption jokes that Teddy gets so excited about swimming that he forgets his back legs don’t work. His owner sums up the adorable chaos with two simple words: “Literally no chill.”

And viewers couldn’t get enough of his excitement.

“I love how you’ve clearly been here with him before and are ready to snag him,” one person commented, appreciating how prepared Teddy’s dad was for his enthusiastic escape.

Another viewer couldn’t believe how fast the determined pup was moving.

“Only two legs and he’s still managing to drag you,” they joked.

Others were simply delighted to see Teddy enjoying himself.

“Oh, they are working in his mind!” one person wrote, referring to his back legs.

Another added, “Thank you for letting him live his best life!”

Teddy’s condition, IVDD, occurs when a disc in the spine becomes damaged and puts pressure on the spinal cord. Depending on the severity, it can cause pain, weakness, or permanent paralysis.

Although dogs with mobility challenges sometimes need extra assistance, many can continue enjoying their favorite activities with the right care and equipment. For some, veterinarian-approved swimming or hydrotherapy can provide gentle exercise, although close supervision and proper flotation support are essential.

Teddy’s dad clearly understands how much these outings mean to his four-legged companion. Rather than letting his disability keep him on the sidelines, he makes sure Teddy can participate safely alongside his furry friend.

And Teddy certainly doesn’t seem interested in slowing down!

Watching him eagerly head toward the water is a sweet reminder that a dog’s love for adventure doesn’t disappear just because life presents a few extra challenges.

Teddy may need a little help getting to the lake, but when it comes to enthusiasm, this happy pup has more than enough to spare!
