One adventurous little French Bulldog has discovered an unusual new hobby, and he apparently has no intention of giving it up!
In a funny Instagram video making the rounds online, the determined pup is seen riding an escalator over and over again, seemingly fascinated by the moving staircase.
The video begins with the Frenchie casually traveling down an escalator as though it’s something he does every day. When he reaches the bottom, he hops off and immediately heads for the escalator going in the opposite direction.
But one round trip isn’t enough for this curious little guy!
After reaching the top, he turns around and makes his way back down again, turning the escalators into his very own amusement park ride.

His repeated trips left viewers amused, with some wondering whether the pup had discovered another benefit to his unusual activity.
“He is using the brush line to scratch his butt, LOL,” one commenter joked, referring to the bristles along the sides of the escalator.
While the Frenchie’s determination gave some viewers a good laugh, others were understandably concerned about his safety.
One person warned that escalators can seriously injure dogs, especially when their paws or toenails become trapped between the moving steps.
And those concerns aren’t unfounded. A veterinary study examining 30 dogs injured on escalators found that every case involved at least one paw becoming caught in the machinery. Half of the dogs required surgery, and eight suffered injuries severe enough to require amputation of a toe or part of one.
Small dogs can be particularly vulnerable because their tiny paws can slip into gaps between the steps or near the edges.
For that reason, pet owners are generally advised to use elevators whenever possible or carry small dogs rather than allowing them to walk on escalators.
Fortunately, the French Bulldog in the viral video appears to complete his repeated rides without getting hurt.
And while his enthusiasm is certainly entertaining, this is one adorable adventure that’s better enjoyed from the safety of a phone screen.
After all, this fearless little Frenchie might think he’s found the world’s greatest ride, but his next adventure would be much safer with all four paws on solid ground!
