One tiny kitten on a Missouri farm has found himself two very unusual best friends, and judging by their adorable interactions, he might be convinced he’s a baby cow himself!

Meet Kanga, a precious black-and-white kitten who has become practically inseparable from two young calves named Roo and Hunnie B.

Despite being only a fraction of their size, this fearless little feline seems perfectly comfortable hanging out with his much larger barnyard buddies. And the calves appear just as delighted to have him around!

In a heartwarming Instagram video shared by the family behind the farm account @andersonfarmsemily, Kanga can be seen happily wandering between his two friends, soaking up all the attention.

The friendship reportedly started with Roo, an affectionate brown calf who took an immediate interest in the tiny kitten.

Before long, another calf named Hunnie B decided she wanted to join the fun, turning the unlikely friendship into an adorable trio.

And that’s when things got especially cute.

As Kanga strolls between the calves, Hunnie B lowers her head to investigate her miniature companion. She gently sniffs and licks the kitten while Roo watches nearby.

Rather than running away, Kanga seems perfectly happy with the attention. He continues moving between his friends, almost as though being surrounded by enormous baby cows is the most ordinary thing in the world.

The size difference makes the scene even sweeter. Kanga is so small compared with the calves that he looks like a tiny stuffed animal standing beside them.

But these gentle giants appear to understand that their little friend needs some extra care.

The video has attracted more than 500,000 views, with animal lovers falling in love with the sweet relationship.

One viewer couldn’t help noticing how carefully the calves treated their tiny companion.

“Amazing how gentle they are with him,” the commenter wrote.

Others joked that Kanga might have forgotten he’s supposed to be a cat.

“Honorary calf!! So cute,” one person commented, while another wondered whether the little kitten might eventually learn to moo instead of meow.

As funny as that sounds, the friendship isn’t quite as surprising as it might seem.

Cattle are naturally social animals that often develop strong bonds with familiar companions. Young calves are also curious about their surroundings, which can make gentle encounters with other farm animals especially interesting to watch.

Cats have their own ways of building relationships, too. A kitten who feels comfortable around another animal may willingly approach, explore or remain nearby.

Of course, interactions between kittens and large farm animals should always be supervised. Even a friendly calf can accidentally injure a much smaller animal because of the enormous difference in size.

Fortunately, the footage shows Kanga enjoying the attention while his two oversized friends treat him gently.

Whether he thinks he’s a cow or simply enjoys having two enormous companions to cuddle up to, Kanga certainly seems to have found his place on the farm.

And with Roo and Hunnie B looking out for their tiny buddy, this might just be the cutest little herd we’ve ever seen.
