Halloween just got a whole lot cuter thanks to one energetic little Pug who apparently believes pumpkins should be able to run at full speed.
In an adorable TikTok shared by @pugrocki, the squishy-faced pup shows off his festive pumpkin costume while racing around with an impressive case of the zoomies.
Instead of sitting nicely for a Halloween photo, this furry little pumpkin has other plans. He darts around during playtime, turning what could have been a sweet costume reveal into a hilarious display of pure puppy excitement.
And honestly, watching a tiny pumpkin race around on four little legs might be one of the funniest things about Halloween.
The orange outfit makes every movement even more entertaining. With his adorable face and seemingly endless energy, the Pug looks like a Halloween decoration that somehow came to life.
Naturally, TikTok viewers couldn’t get enough of him.

One fellow dog lover immediately wanted to know where the costume came from, writing, “Pls tell me where you got this, my Pug needs it ASAP.”
Another viewer declared him the “cutest pumpkin in the patch,” while someone else came up with the perfect nickname for the little troublemaker: “PUGKINNNNN.”
It’s hard to imagine a more fitting name.
Of course, any longtime dog owner knows that these sudden bursts of energy are perfectly normal. Known as the zoomies, these playful episodes often happen when dogs become excited or need to release some extra energy.
According to the American Kennel Club, the behavior is officially called frenetic random activity periods, or FRAPs. Dogs may suddenly sprint, spin or race around after a bath, during playtime or simply because they’re feeling energetic.
There’s no evidence that Halloween costumes themselves cause zoomies, but excitement and attention surrounding a fun activity can certainly contribute to a dog’s playful mood.
Pet owners should always make sure costumes fit comfortably, especially for flat-faced breeds like Pugs, which can have difficulty breathing and regulating body temperature.
Fortunately, the best Halloween costumes are the ones that let dogs enjoy themselves while looking adorable.
And judging by this little Pug’s enthusiastic performance, sitting still and posing for pictures wasn’t anywhere near the top of his Halloween agenda.
Forget spooky ghosts and scary monsters. This year, the cutest creature roaming the pumpkin patch might just be a four-legged Pugkin with a serious case of the zoomies.
