One adorable black cat has taken his Halloween responsibilities very seriously, and apparently, there’s no time for breaks when pumpkin biscuits are in such high demand!

In a hilarious Instagram video shared by @caitlindisterdick, the fluffy little feline is hard at work kneading a soft, pumpkin-shaped pillow with his tiny paws.

And judging by how quickly those paws are moving, business must be booming!

The sweet kitty presses his paws into the plush orange pumpkin over and over, occasionally glancing around as though he’s checking to see how many customers are still waiting.

But the funniest part is the message his owner added to the video.

“Please be patient! Pumpkin biscuits are our best-selling flavor, and he’s going as fast as he can.”

It’s the perfect explanation for a hardworking Halloween kitty who clearly has a very important job to do.

After all, somebody has to keep the pumpkin bakery running!

The adorable video quickly attracted amused reactions from animal lovers who couldn’t resist joining in on the joke.

“He’s working overtime to get those biscuits out!” one viewer commented.

His owner happily played along, replying, “Early mornings and late nights just for his customers! ❤️”

Another viewer joked that the kitty was pulling late October shifts during the busiest time of the year.

Someone else seemed concerned that the little guy wasn’t getting enough time to enjoy his favorite holiday.

“How are you making him work during his month?!” the person asked.

And they certainly have a point. If any animal deserves to relax during Halloween, it’s a black cat!

Of course, the adorable behavior isn’t actually about baking.

When cats rhythmically push their paws against a soft blanket, pillow or even their owner’s lap, they’re displaying a natural behavior known as kneading, affectionately nicknamed “making biscuits.”

According to PetMD, the habit begins when cats are kittens. While nursing, they press their paws against their mother’s belly to help stimulate milk flow.

Many cats continue kneading as adults because the familiar movement is associated with comfort, security and relaxation.

Some even purr, close their eyes or settle down for a nap while doing it.

Cats also have scent glands in their paws, meaning kneading can help them mark a favorite resting spot as their own.

In this little guy’s case, his pumpkin pillow appears to be the perfect place to practice his biscuit-making skills.

And while he isn’t actually producing any pumpkin-flavored treats, his enthusiastic effort is certainly making people smile.

With Halloween just around the corner, this adorable black cat may have found the cutest seasonal job imaginable.

Let’s just hope his owner remembers to pay him for all that hard work.
