Some kittens are tiny enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Then there’s Cosmo, an absolutely enormous Maine Coon who looks like he could give a small dog a run for its money!
And the most unbelievable part? This fluffy giant is only 10 months old!
In an adorable TikTok video shared by @life_with_mainecoons, the cat lover behind Gold Country Maine Coons introduces viewers to Cosmo, a stunning young cat whose enormous size and majestic appearance have everyone doing a double take.
With his luxurious fur, oversized paws, tufted ears and impressive build, Cosmo looks more like a fully grown wildcat than a kitten who’s still celebrating his first year of life.
But despite his intimidating size, this handsome boy is apparently a total sweetheart.
As his mom holds him up for the camera, Cosmo remains remarkably calm, happily accepting kisses and affection without making a fuss.
His enormous body practically fills her arms, making it even harder to believe that he’s still growing!

Naturally, viewers were amazed by the gentle giant.
“If he’s 10 months old, he’s going to be huge!” one person commented.
Another viewer pointed out that Maine Coons can continue maturing for several years, meaning Cosmo may have even more growing to do.
And they’re right!
Maine Coons are among the largest domestic cat breeds, with adult males commonly weighing between 13 and 18 pounds, although some grow considerably larger.
Unlike many other cats, which reach most of their adult size around their first birthday, Maine Coons mature slowly and may continue filling out until they’re three or four years old.
Their thick, shaggy coats, long bodies and enormous fluffy tails can also make them appear even bigger than they actually are.
But the breed isn’t famous just for its impressive size.
Maine Coons are often called the gentle giants of the cat world because of their friendly, affectionate personalities. Many love following their humans around the house, playing games and being involved in whatever their families are doing.
Cosmo certainly seems to fit that description.
He might look like a miniature lion, but judging by the way he patiently accepts his mom’s kisses, he’s just an oversized baby who loves a little attention.
It’s hard to imagine how big this handsome kitty will be when he’s fully grown.
For now, though, Cosmo has already mastered two very important things: looking absolutely magnificent and making everyone fall in love with him.
And something tells us his mom might need to start doing some arm workouts if she plans to keep picking him up for cuddles!
